Who are we?
Valleys Ale Trails was founded by Russell Todd and Dylan Jones
Russell’s background is in community development, community enterprise and digital inclusion, supporting people in disadvantaged communities to achieve a future for their communities that is different to their past. He has worked across Wales but has specific experience of Merthyr Tydfil and the Gwent valleys. He currently works as Indycube’s Connector for south east Wales and south west England.
A real ale enthusiast and explorer of industrial landscapes, Russell has founded two podcasts: about the Wales football team; and community development in the UK.
Dylan has over twenty years’ experience of working in the Heritage sector, and started his own tours business – Dylan’s Tours – in 2017.
With a passion for Welsh history, Dylan is well-qualified in taking the visitor around his native country, and having researched and published on a range of specialisms he is adept in locating hidden gems along the way.
